Introducing Metaport 2.0 - Making It Easier than Ever to Bridge to SKALE

Metaport is a UI layer implemented on top of the SKALE Bridge that simplifies the process of token transfers between AppChains to provide users with a streamlined and consistent bridging experience throughout the SKALE Network. In a step towards onboarding more users to SKALE, the Metaport 2.0 release has just been implemented! 

Metaport 2.0 comes with significant enhancements aimed at optimizing user interaction and experience within the SKALE Network. This update incorporates RainbowKit compatibility, a revamped, sleek user interface, and underlying technical improvements that offer increased stability and performance. Metaport 2.0 Updates

RainbowKit support

The latest version of Metaport adopts Rainbow's wallet connector to unify account connection procedure for the users.

Multichain Transfers

In Metaport 2.0, performing routed transfers (e.g. Ethereum to Calypso via Europa Hub or Calypso to Nebula via Europa) is now possible in a single, swtift step.

The internal structure of Metaport was changed to drop the need for persistent connection to the user wallet, which means fewer network switches in your wallet & more fluid transfer flow.

Revamped UI

Redesigned user interface allows for better usability and ease of use. The internal structure of Metaport was changed to drop the need for persistent connection to the user wallet, which means fewer network switches in your wallet & more fluid transfer flow.

Transfer + Balance Previews

It is now possible to preview available chains and tokens before connecting a wallet to see what's available. Also, users are able to immediately see balances for all tokens on the selected source chain and balance for the selected token on a destination chain.

Fully Migrated to Ethers v6

Metaport 2.0 benefits from the improved security and efficiency of the IMA-JS 2.0 library that was migrated to the latest version of ethers. Separate providers for data reading and transaction signing reduces network switches for the users and simplifies internal architecture.

Additional Widget Configurability

Metaport 2.0's configurable design allows for easy module reuse and customization. Developers will be able to modify Metaport components in order to implement the bridge in their dapp in the most seamless way.

sFUEL Using Native JS BigInt

Switching to JavaScript BigInt, the sFUEL station delivers better performance and codebase is now more accessible to maintain & modify.
