SKALE Network Announces the “Meetups Without Borders” Event Series

Marcos Sanchez
Head of Communications

SKALE Network, a decentralized elastic blockchain platform for securely scaling Ethereum based dApps, announced today the launch of the Meetups Without Borders series of virtual events for the Blockchain community. The first event, “NFT’s & business models for the games industry, boom or bust?”, will include speakers from 0x, SKALE, and TokenTrove and will air live April 7, 2020, at 3 PM PT US.

Staying connected and continuing the conversations around how blockchain can and will change a wide variety of industries is critical to moving adoption forward. Given the Covid-19 pandemic has caused many events to be delayed or canceled, SKALE decided to create community connections with a series of conversations, round tables and technical meetups with leading industry experts, project founders, and engineers, made available to anyone who’s interested around the globe for free. Future topics will include; Blockchain Games, NFT’s and their role in games and the arts, DeFi, dApp design, the role of Oracles in decentralized networks and many more.

“Decentralized by nature, the crypto and blockchain communities are uniquely positioned to adapt and even thrive in today’s environment,” said Jack O’Holleran, Co-Founder SKALE Labs. “To continue our focus on listening and interacting with our developer community we knew we had to adapt to the changing environment. While virtual events are certainly not new, we wanted to not only offer a platform for conversations but create an ongoing commitment to connecting with the blockchain community, as opposed to just at once a year events like local hackathons.”

The inaugural Meetup Without Borders will focus on the question, are NFT’s & business models for the games industry, boom or bust? Joining us is a panel of industry experts from top projects that include: Theo Gonella, product manager at the blockchain platform 0X, a protocol that enables the peer-to-peer exchange of assets on the Ethereum blockchain, David Bauschlicher, founder and software developer at TokenTrove, a marketplace for collectibles including GodsUnchained, one of the most played blockchain games, and moderator, Christine Perry, VP of Solutions Engineering at SKALE.

Sign up today for the first Blockchain Gaming Meetup Without Border. If you’re interested in joining future discussions please visit SKALE.Space and sign up for our newsletter.
