We know that securing your $SKL is one of the MOST important things you can do!  That's why we're super happy that you can now see your wonderful bags of $SKL on one of the world's most popular wallets, Ledger, via Ledger Live. If you're not familiar with Ledger, they are a unique digital security ecosystem that provides protection and is built on verifiable trust. They're best known for their Ledger hardware wallet. If you're particularly careful, you can take advantage of their Ledger Backup Pack which allows you to Securely manage your assets on-the-go with the Ledger Nano X and keep the Ledger Nano S for at-home use or in a safe storage as a backup device.

$SKL is an ERC 777 token, which is ERC 20 backwards compatible and is a hybrid use token which represents the right to work in the network as a validator, stake as a delegator, or access a share of its resources by deploying and renting an Elastic Sidechain or Elastic Blockchain for a period of time as a developer. Lastly, it is a governance token used for on-chain voting, which will control all economic parameters of the SKALE Network.

$SKL is currently supported by MetaMask, Portis and Torus wallets. On MetaMask, SKALE Network is also supported as a layer 2 drop down option and SKL can be swapped for other tokens directly within the MetaMask swap interface.  For more information on the token, see our SKL Token page.
