Hacker Wins Trip and Ticket to Devcon 5 Osaka

Christine Perry
VP Solutions Engineering

After receiving 17 submissions for various categories from devs hacking with the full SKALE stack, we proudly present the winners of our Ethereal Blocks bounties.

Stefan Ionescu gets to go to Devcon 5 c/o SKALE for Komodo Lending—a dApp that gives better terms to lenders and borrowers via rehypothecation. The smart contracts are deployed to SKALE for fast finality. The dApp also utilizes SKALE’s filestorage & token bridge.

Hammad Tariq’s dTunes wins best use of SKALE FileStorage. Think of dTunes as an early-stage decentralized iTunes. It uses SKALE storage and contracts to manage music files over IPFS.

Congratulations to Komodo Lending and dTunes! See you at Devcon 5, Stefan!

There are 2 winners for the best use of SKALE smart contracts. SKALE uses a modified EVM that allows for faster throughput. The existing Ethereum toolset are 100% compatible and it takes only a few lines of code to deploy to SKALE.

DArdt is a decentralized platform that gives artists and designers a space to showcase, sell or trade their work. DArdt is developed by Manank Patni and the code can be found here.

Jason Tissera and his team built AnonHero to be a dApp for events reporting & validation with built-in identity protection, and it utilizes the full SKALE stack including the newly released ML component. With SKALE, Machine Learning can now also be run in a smart contract.

Congratulations to DArdt and AnonHero!
AnonHero was also at ETHBoston and won that hackathon.

Finally, the best implementation of SKALE Interchain Messaging (token bridge) goes to Zelda Shop by DJ Rosenbaum. It is a POC that imagines a Zelda item shop where players can buy items in game using SKALE interchain messaging agent.
